Transcripts

The information provided on this page pertains to all credit-bearing University of Connecticut coursework, including Undergraduate, Graduate, and Non-Degree coursework taken at Storrs or any of the regional campuses, Early College Experience coursework, and transcripts for the School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine, and School of Law.

Official transcripts are only released with permission of the student, except in specific circumstances. Official transcripts bear the seal of the University and the signature of the University Registrar.

Ordering Transcripts

Transcripts cannot be requested over the phone; orders must be placed using Parchment Services. Current students and students who attended after 2002 should access Parchment Services through the Student Administration System. You are able to log into your account by using your NetID and password. To find your NetID or to reset your NetID password visit the NetID website. 

Students who attended prior to 2002 or Early College Experience students who cannot access their Student Administration accounts can request official transcripts through Parchment Services by clicking “Create Account.” Additional processing time may be required.

Transcripts are processed “as is” at the time of ordering. Please confirm that your grades and/or degree are listed before requesting your official transcript.

If you are applying to an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Connecticut, you are not required to send an official UConn transcript as part of the admissions process. Please contact the respective Admissions office if you have questions about their procedures.

Transcript Fees and Delivery Options

Electronic PDF

Fee: $10.00. Delivered via email to a specified recipient, typically between 2 and 24 hours, excluding times of scheduled system maintenance; verify with the recipient that electronic PDF is acceptable before placing your order. Ensure that recipients’ email accounts will accept messages from noreply@parchment.com, and plan to check junk folders for errant messages. The ordering service, Parchment, will send email notification when transcripts are available for download. Transcripts may be downloaded a total of 5 times within 30 days, after which the transcript will no longer be available. Fees are payable by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.

Paper Mail

Fee: $12.00, plus postage/delivery fees. Standard delivery through the U.S. Postal Service, typically processed within 1-3 business days, for $2.50 mailing fee per transcript sent to U.S. destinations and a $5.00 mailing fee per transcript sent to international destinations. Express shipping is available via FedEx for an additional cost of $25.00 per transcript for Standard Overnight delivery to U.S. destinations and $47.50 per transcript for delivery to international destinations. Fees are payable by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.

Notarize and Apostille

For information regarding apostille of a transcript for use in a foreign country, see the Secretary of the State of Connecticut website. As a courtesy, the Office of the Registrar can notarize your transcript for you to either mail or deliver directly to the State per their instructions.

Requesting Transcripts in Person

Current and former students are welcome to come to the Registrar’s Office to pick up copies of their official or unofficial transcripts. These transcripts will be marked as “Issued to Student.” Students will need to present a photo I.D. before obtaining their transcripts. The maximum limit of transcripts to receive in person is five.

Official transcripts can be obtained at the Storrs campus, while unofficial transcripts can be obtained at any regional campus.

Unofficial transcripts are for informational use only and are generally not acceptable for official purposes. They do not bear the University seal or the signature of the Registrar. Unofficial transcripts can be obtained via the Student Administration System by following these steps:
