Q: How many final copies of the thesis do I have to submit?
Effective May 9, 2016, a printed copy to the Library is no longer required.
Submit ONE copy of your thesis electronically to the Master’s Theses Collection in Open Commons. Submit, to the Office of the Registrar, the Thesis Submission Checklist along with one approval page on white white paper with original signatures and the Report on the Final Examination for the Master’s Degree with original signatures.
Q: What should I take with me to my defense?
In addition to the materials that you will need for your presentation, you should be certain to bring a final copy of your Approval Page, and TWO copies of the Report on the Final Examination for the Master’s Degree form. If you wish to include Approval Pages bearing original signatures in your personal final copies of your thesis, take additional copies of the Approval Page with you. Give the copies of the Approval Page and the two Report on the Final Examination for the Master’s Degree forms to your Major Advisor before the defense begins. One signed Approval Page and one signed Report on the Final Examination for the Master’s Degree form must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar (the second Report on the Final Examination for the Master’s Degree form is for your Major Advisor’s records).
Q: Is there anything else I need to do?
Yes, please be certain to apply online for graduation early in the semester or summer in which you expect to complete all degree requirements. Refer to the Apply for Graduation on our web site for instructions.
